Sources

My background image was taken from a website entitled "Snazzy Space." The image that is located tothe left of my blog in my "about me" section was taken from UTSA's football website, www.goutsa.com. The other image of UTSA that I included in my first blog is from UTSA's main website under the "student activities" tab.

The image at the very beginning of this blog was also taken from UTSA's football site, http://www.goutsa.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13100&SPID=34919&SPSID=315549

How I Made My Blog Look Better

First, I created my own header in Photoshop using the principle of repetition. The recurring theme of pink and black argyle is a major part of my layout, so I felt the need to further incorporate that design. I also repeated the use of black and pink throughout my entire blog. This repetitive color scheme also transitions into the contrasting element of my blog. I chose black text set against a light pink background since it's easier to read and easily noticeable. Bolded titles, such as the name of my blog and the blog title posts, are done in a dark pink. These colors are not alike or similar, but rather easily distinguishable and complementary. The alignment of my blog is relatively simple. The text in my blogs is set to the left. I used the principle of proximity to structure my blog in a way that is easy to navigate. The information is set on the left side of the screen, whereas the blog posts are positioned to the right. The posts or information neatly falls under each respective heading/title.

Why I Want a Degree from UTSA

UTSA is an up and coming university that offers an array of undergraduate degrees. I chose to pursue a degree in communication at UTSA because, quite frankly, I felt it was the most economically feasible option.  Ultimately, UTSA is more bang for your buck. UTSA offers a solid, quality education for relatively less than other colleges. I enjoy the campus life at this university and I also really like the communication department.
